Fundus Examination

Fundus refer to the back of the eyes, which is commonly known as the retina. However, fundus also consist of optics nerve and blood vessel. A healthy fundus is important for good and clear vision. Multiple condition of the body can cause funds to become sick, eg. Diabetes, High blood pressure, Age related macular degeneration, etc. Therefore, a proper fundus examination is important.

At Ong’s Optics, we provide fundus examination to rule out sight threatening disease. Our optometrist can conduct fundus photo taking and direct fundus examination using ophthalmoscope

Binocular vision Examination

inocular vision is the study of how the two eyes work together. If one eye does not work in agreement with the other, symptom such as fatigue, blur vision, headache or even eye strain.

The function of binocular vision require an eye testing different from the normal refraction. Only with a full binocular vision test can the issues be identified.

Binocular vision testing is also vital in children myopia management, whether using spectacle or contact lenses. By incorporating binocular vision and myopia management, the effect of reducing the progression of myopia will be greater than just correcting the vision.

Dry Eyes examination and Treatment

At Ong’s Optics, dry eye can be detected using standard observation of tears break up using special dyes apply to the eyes. Advance testing of tear stability can be achieve using our Medmont topographer which has the function of measuring the area of tear instability and monitor for improvement of tears stability over time.
